Christmas Packaging Order Deadlines
Christmas Packaging Order Deadlines
Planning your Christmas packaging? Find Springpack’s bespoke and stocked packaging order deadlines, plus tips for creating branded Christmas packaging.
Christmas can be one of the busiest times of year for businesses, and having the right packaging available is essential when order volumes increase. If your Christmas Packaging Plans feature branded cardboard boxes, printed packing tape or custom mailing bags, leaving your order too late could mean missing the delivery window.
The good news is that there is still plenty of time get your order confirmed. However, bespoke packaging requires more preparation than stocked lines, so it is important to understand the key dates and allow enough time for design, production and approval.

Preparing for peak season isn't just about ordering more packaging.
It's about ensuring the right products are available, deliveries arrive when needed and your packaging processes remain efficient as order volumes increase.
Christmas Packaging Deadlines
If you need bespoke or branded packaging for Christmas, we recommend starting the process as early as possible.
For bespoke packaging orders, enquiries need to be raised with Springpack by the end of August. This gives our team time to discuss your requirements, develop the packaging and work through the necessary production stages.
Your final, approved order must then be placed by 2nd September 2026 to allow enough time for production and Christmas delivery. Orders approved after this date cannot be guaranteed for delivery before Christmas.
If you already know that you need bespoke packaging boxes, branded tape, mailing bags or other custom packaging, getting that enquiry raised today gives you more time to make decisions and approve the final design.
What About Stocked Packaging?
Passed the 2nd September deadline? Don’t panic. We have a 79,000 square ft warehouse, housing a huge range of off the shelf packaging products. As these products are already held in stock at our Worcester warehouse, they can be delivered to you tomorrow.
Springpack offers next working day delivery as standard on stocked lines, making it possible to replenish essential cardboard boxes, packing tape, pallet wrap, bubble wrap and other packaging supplies at short notice.
For Christmas 2026, we recommend placing orders for stocked lines by Tuesday 22 December for guaranteed delivery by Christmas.
If you know you will need additional packaging during the Christmas period, we would still recommend ordering earlier wherever possible. Planning ahead gives you greater certainty and reduces the pressure on your warehouse during the busiest part of the year.
Creating Your Own Christmas Packaging
Christmas packaging can be a simple way to create a more memorable experience for your customers.
Many brands use seasonal packaging to create a festive unboxing experience, from Christmas-themed boxes and mailing bags to branded paper tape and printed packaging.
Springpack’s free packaging design tool allows you to create your own bespoke packaging from the browser. You can use it to design boxes, tape and mailing bags around your brand and seasonal requirements.
This means you can start exploring your Christmas packaging ideas before placing your final order, giving you time to create something that works for both your products and your customers.
Why Order Christmas Packaging Early?
Bespoke packaging takes time to design, approve and manufacture. During the run-up to Christmas, demand for packaging can increase, which means production schedules can become busier.
Raising your enquiry by the end of August gives you time to develop your packaging without having to rush the process. It also gives you time to consider important factors such as product protection, box dimensions, sustainability and the overall customer experience.
For businesses using bespoke packaging throughout the year, Christmas can also be a useful opportunity to review whether your existing solution is still working efficiently.
A Packaging Review can help identify opportunities to reduce packaging waste, improve packing efficiency and find more sustainable packaging solutions without compromising product protection.
Your Christmas Packaging Checklist
Before placing your Christmas packaging order, consider what you will need across the festive period.
Check your current stock levels and estimate how much packaging you are likely to use during your busiest weeks. Remember to include everyday essentials such as cardboard boxes, packing tape, pallet wrap and protective packaging, as well as any bespoke or seasonal lines.
If you are creating branded Christmas packaging, allow time for design, approval and production. If you are ordering stocked products, consider ordering before you reach critical stock levels rather than waiting until your packaging cupboard is empty.
Most importantly, don’t leave bespoke packaging until December. The earlier you raise your enquiry, the more time there is to get your packaging designed, approved and ready for Christmas.
How Springpack Can Help
Springpack can support your Christmas packaging requirements whether you need a standard stocked product or a completely bespoke solution.
For stocked packaging, next working day delivery helps businesses replenish essential supplies quickly. For bespoke requirements, our team can guide you through the design and ordering process, while our free online packaging design tool makes it easy to create branded boxes, tape and mailing bags.
If you’re planning Christmas packaging for 2026, the key dates to remember are:
End of August 2026: Bespoke packaging enquiry deadline.
2 September 2026: Final approved bespoke order deadline for guaranteed Christmas delivery.
22 December 2026: Recommended final order date for stocked lines for guaranteed delivery by Christmas.
Christmas packaging needs more planning than simply ordering extra boxes when demand starts to increase. Bespoke packaging needs time for design, approval and production, while even stocked lines should be ordered before your existing supplies run low.
If you’re planning a festive unboxing experience, now is the time to start thinking about your requirements. Raise your bespoke packaging enquiry by the end of August, approve your final order by 2 December, and make sure any stocked packaging is ordered in good time for the Christmas delivery deadline.
Planning early gives you more choice, more time and greater confidence that your packaging will be ready when your customers need it.
