Why Choose a Manual Tape Dispenser?

Manual tape dispensers are versatile, easy to use, and perfect for everyday tasks. Different guns work best with different tapes, so we created this helpful guide to quickly compare which tapes and which dispensers work together best.

Top Manual Tape Dispensers for Packaging Products

Two standout options for anyone serious about packaging tape tools are:

  • Reelbond Standard Tape Dispenser: Known for its durability and smooth tape release, the Reelbond tape gun delivers consistent performance. Its sturdy build and comfort-focused handle make it a reliable choice for businesses aiming for efficient packaging without the fuss. The Reelbond Standard tape dispenser works with the entire Reelbond Range of Reelbond tapes.

  • E-Tape Silent Tape Dispenser: This model is ideal for busy workspaces where noise reduction matters. The E-Tape dispenser is not only quiet but also built for speed and precision. It’s compatible only with E-Tape, or 2″ core tapes.

What is the difference between silent tape dispensers and standard ones?

Silent tape dispensers feature a “silencing bar” that adds extra pressure on the tape as it unwinds, reducing the loud “Rip” noise that often accompanies tape being pulled from a roll. Some types of tape aren’t as compatible with silent dispensers, so it’s important to learn which work best together.

  • Paper Tape: It’s important to remember that not all silent dispensers work with paper tape. Whilst some may work fine, it’s important to remember that the silencing bar on the dispenser can put too much pressure on paper tape, and cause it to tear during application.

  • Low Noise Tape may not work well in a silent tape dispenser, as it is designed to unwind slowly. The slow unwinding of the tape from the roll, in addition to the silencer bar on the dispenser may lead to irregular application, or needing to pull harder than usual on the dispenser. For best results: We reccomend you use low noise tape with a standard dispenser, or a silent dispener with standard tape.
